The Right of Cancellation Act applies to the sale of goods and services to consumers. By consumer is meant a natural person who does not primarily act as part of commercial activities.
The consumer has the right to withdraw from the agreement within 14 days without giving any reason for this. The cancellation period expires 14 days after the day the consumer or a third party other than the carrier designated by the consumer takes physical possession of the goods.
Notice
In order to exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer must notify SINTEF in an unequivocal manner of the decision to withdraw from the agreement (e.g. letter by post or e-mail).

Return
The consumer must return the goods no later than 14 days after the day we were notified that the consumer would withdraw from the agreement. The deadline is met if the consumer sends back the goods before the deadline of 14 days has expired.
NB: The consumer must bear the direct costs of returning the item.

Please note that in the case of deliveries with digital content, the consumer does not have the right of withdrawal once the delivery has been paid for (in accordance with the Act on the right of withdrawal § 22 n).
